The government of Venezuela has announced that millions of citizens have already signed a petition demanding the immediate cease of all US hostilities against their country.

Over 13 million Venezuelans, according to the official sources, are expected to put their signatures against the ongoing blockade ruled by United States President Donald Trump against the oil-rich Latin American nation.

#NoMoreTrump has been the leading statement amid recent gatherings of pro-government crowds who demonstrate their patriotic sentiments across several cities of Venezuela.

In this context, tables have been organized in public squares to collect signatures for a petition that will be sent to the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. Officials say the signatures will also be collected in different parts of the world.

Nonetheless, the opposition decries the value of the signatures

But some people on the streets claim the signatures will bring a political triumph

The national drive was launched on Sunday and will last until September 10.

People here say the all-out US sanctions have worsened the living conditions in Venezuela; however, they say these have not stopped them from fighting against US intervention and have only united them in their resolve to resist against Trump's economic terrorism.
